7 amazing things about Ymuno 2016

With only two weeks until our Craft Gin Bar is in full swing at Ymuno festival, we thought we’d share our 7 tops things that we’re really looking forward to about this amazing little festival.

1. Forever Cacao – Meditation and Chocolate.

What an amazing idea. Combining their stone ground single origin handmade chocolate with the calming, mind-centering benefits of yoga. We love this idea.

2. Giant Bubbles – Dr Zigs

Whats not to love about bubbles?! Especially when you super size them with Dr Ziggs magic mix.

3. The Impellers

A 10-strong funk, soul and breaks collective from Brighton, UK, who have been consistently releasing and performing live since 2007. Oh boy, our craft gin bar will be mixing drinks in time to their awesome beats.

4. Musical Junk Instrument Workshop

An opportunity for creative play across a recycled soundscape, pearls of wisdom and tuition for those who want it, physics for those to whom it appeals, Shaker making for the younglings and drum-circle groove building for all.

5. The Epic Cooked Breakfast

This is amazing, and it’s the only festival we know of that provides a complimentary cooked breakfast to bring everyone together.

6. The Natural Building Centre

The Natural Building Centre will be bringing along a small timber frame which they will raise and finish with the help of any children who want to lend a hand. Throughout the weekend they can help put the frame together, knock in the oak pegs and weave the wattle sides.

They will be bringing along their range of traditional, sustainable building materials – traditional lime plasters, sheep wool insulation, local timber and natural paints and pigments.

7. The Jaywalkers – Sunday Music

BBC Young Folk Awards finalists in 2008, Jaywalkers are now one of the most exciting and entertaining young bands on the British folk scene.

Mike, Jay & Lucille are influenced by folk, bluegrass, Western swing and jazz, creating innovative and exhilarating music that’s still deeply rooted in tradition.
